Greece: A Symphony of Stone and Saltwater
Where local tradition meets contemporary minimalism. Through the use of local natural stone and an open spatial structure, we staged the Aegean as the lead actor of this design concept.

In the rugged beauty of the Cyclades, this project redefines Luxury Hospitality Design. We created a destination that functions not just as a Beach Club, but as an architectural extension of the coastline, resilient against the elements, yet gentle to nature.

Born from the Rock

Windows to Infinity

For the Mykonos Beach Club, we developed a resort concept that dissolves the boundaries between nature and architecture. Our objective was to create a "Sanctuary by the Sea"—a retreat offering the highest levels of exclusivity while withstanding the rugged elements of the Aegean a sophisticated synergy of shelter and freedom.
Inspired by the island's rugged cliffs, the structures appear "born from the rock." we consistently utilized indigenous natural stone, organic forms, and an expansive, open-plan layout. This biophilic design approach ensures a seamless visual connection to the landscape while minimizing the ecological footprint.
Material choice is crucial. We used salt-resistant woods, corrosion-free steel, and local plastering techniques that have endured in the Aegean for centuries, interpreted through a modern lens.
Building on Mykonos requires precise management. GALA coordinated local craftsmen and international suppliers to meet the strict timeline before the summer season.
Absolutely. Through passive cooling (utilizing the winds), local materials (reducing transport), and minimal soil sealing, we significantly reduced the ecological footprint.
