The New Old Pharmacy: A Bridge Between Eras

Architectural interior design showcasing organic forms and natural light

Journey with GALA into the future and past of healthcare retail. For DR. BÄHLER DROPA, we engineered a concept to be rolled out across Switzerland. The goal was a distinctive brand identity that scales modularly across 70+ locations, from urban flagships to local village drugstores.

Scalability: A Modular Rollout System

Our solution for 70+ diverse floor plans: an intelligent modular kit. Flexible modules adapt to any space, ensuring a consistent corporate architecture while significantly reducing planning and construction costs.

Industrial Vintage & Tactile Design

We replaced sterile white with true craftsmanship. Raw steel, oak wood, and metro tiles create a warm, tactile environment that builds patient trust and breaks away from the cold aesthetic of traditional pharmacies.

Project Insights: The Evolution of Pharmacy Design

For DR. BÄHLER DROPA, we developed a "Health Sanctuary." Our mission was to transform the classic pharmacy from a mere "supply point" into an emotional experience space. We created an identity that thrives in both modern shopping centers and historic old towns, a perfect symbiosis of scalability and local roots.

The Design Concept: Industrial Vintage meets POS Psychology

Inspired by the "good old days," we utilized honest materials. Dark raw steel, oiled oak, and metro tiles create a warm haptic experience that reduces patient anxiety. This vintage aesthetic is strategically planned to focus on products while increasing dwell time through a high-end wellness atmosphere.

Frequently Asked Questions: Healthcare Projects

Through a "Kit of Parts" principle. We developed standardized furniture modules that can be individually combined based on each branch's floor plan without ever diluting the core design line.

To build immediate trust. Natural materials like wood and steel feel approachable and grounded (Biophilic Design). This radically differentiates the brand from the sterile "clinical look" of competitors.

Light is a navigational tool. A deliberate mix of bright spotlights on products and dimmed pendant lights in consultation areas creates a balance of professional focus and private intimacy.
